Agnès, a children’s book author, falls asleep while babysitting her friend’s daughters. Well-behaved Carmen and daredevil Juliette, sucked into the world of their favourite book and turned into cats, set off to explore the Kingdom of the Winds, ruled by the master of winds and storms. Drawing inspiration from a rich array of sources – with a toy as flustered as the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, a distant double of the Phantom of the Opera, fantastical creatures and dreamlike settings that could have come straight out of Studio Ghibli or the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine – Benoît Chieux takes us on a wild romp through a distinctive multilayed world of his own, sure to delight viewers of all ages.
