After the success of Doc of the Dead and The People vs George Lucas, the director Alexandre Philippe once again explores the roots and foundations of a certain kind of cinephilia. This time, he takes on a finely detailed study of the famous shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho and focuses on the series of shots leading to the bloody death of Marion Crane, played by Janet Leigh.

Philippe records commentaries from prestigious filmmakers and analysts, from Peter Bogdanovich to Guillermo del Toro, speaking about the impact of that scene, how it altered their view of cinema and how it marked a turning-point in the portrayal of death on the silver screen.
