In 1962, Patrice Molinard, who shot the location photos for Georges Franju’s Blood of the Beasts, made a film that represented the pinnacle of French fantastic cinema. A vampire movie with the beautiful Val-d’Oise region doubling for Transylvania, featuring Edith Scob a child eater and Venantino Venantini as a Dracula-like character.
