A gangster dispatches four of his hit men to intimidate a family suspected of ripping off $500 000. The killers break into the house and neutralise the parents in a snap, but the son and daughter prove to be something else. The children actually turn out to be a major threat to the killers. The killers will soon discover that young Owen has a penchant for violence largely above the national average and is surpri- singly skilled in the art of warfare.
The Aggression Scale belongs to the pure tradition of “home invasion” films. The opening scene, depic- ting hit-men violence, leads viewers to imagine the worst for the family. But when those preyed upon turn into predators, how surprising it can be when the latter are children.
Steven C. Miller‘s first feature was Automaton Transfusion, shot in nine days and distributed by The Weinstein Company. In 2012, he also directed Under the Bed, and has several feature film projects in progress.
