Max and Drew are best friends that stream a popular web show that stages fake exorcisms to look real. When his “possessed” no shows, he’s forced on the spur of the moment to use Drew’s actress girlfriend as a substitute. She excels beyond all expectations; the exorcism turns into a splatter fest that destroys the studio; and Max is revealed as a fraud to an ever-growing global audience, alerted by tweets of the fiasco. A horror film, both amusing and serious, about web fraudsters who exploit the gullible with their murky brand of sensationalism.
