JULIEN GESTER

Currently a film critic for the French daily Libération, Gester previously worked extensively for the arts magazine Inrockuptibles and as a culture editor for Grazia.He also co-ordinated a guide to American cinema, worked on the film Traffic and collaborated on several collective works, in particular a monograph of Nagisa Oshima and a book of interviews with Masaya Nakahara. A musician, he’s a member of the synth-wave group Collateral and composes film music as a member of the duo Contingence (Our Heroes Died Tonight).
