In 15th century Spain, a man trying to learn more about the circumstances of his sister’s death, travels to the castle where she lived with her husband and sister-in-law, descendants of a sinister inquisitor. Corman’s second adaptation of a Poe story, The Pit and the Pendulum draws us into hidden corners of a gloomy castle, a suitable dwelling for a neurotic and grandiosely dramatic Vincent Price.
